Andhra Pradesh Information Technology Department was launching software for availing SMS service in Telugu. The software, Telugu Mata is already available on www.teluguvijayam.org website. On downloading the software, ‘Telugu Mata’ virtual keyboard will be installed on the devices. The application will be formally launched on December 30. Telugu Mata is a keyboard which can be installed and used in all applications on your Android, I pad and I phone device. Telugu Mata allows one to type in Telugu on the phone or any android device where in Telugu letters are realized by single key-strokes (instead of multi taps) very fast and very conveniently. All characters are accommodated in two layers unlike other apps.
Software for Telugu SMS service to be launched today, Telugu Mata Software Application designed by A.P. Society for Knowledge Networks it was for the first time in the country an SMS service would be available in a regional language.
